Need for Speed: Carbon is a racing video game that was released in 2006. The gameplay is similar to its predecessors. It, however, revolves around rival street racing groups and not individuals. As a player, you are in charge of your crew. You can enroll other car racers into your crew. If you have an active friendly racer, they are your wingman Yu ay enroll a player due to their skills which do not necessarily have to be in racing. Non-racing skills are important too. They include fixing and mechanics. Others may have skills to reduce unwarranted police attention, finding the best shortcuts, and more. Different wingmen drive different cars. Drafters drive exotic cars, scouts have tuners, and blockers have muscle cars. However, this does not apply to all of them. Your first two wingmen are Neville and Sal. They will drive a car from the class that you choose when starting the game.

Need For Speed Carbon brings back drift racing which was present in earlier installments of Need For Speed. It has Canyon Events which are built around Touge races from Japan. The Canyon Events are Canyon Duel, Canyon Sprint, Canyon Drift, and Canyon Checkpoint. All the Canyon Events are unique. It has Quick Races modes for two players and Reward Cards. You get the cards for your achievements n and out of Career Mode.

Police pursuits are one of the main reasons why people love Need For Speed: Carbon. It is impossible to tell when police pursuits may break out. The police may start chasing a player just at the end of a race, in Free Roam Mode, or any other time. The police, however, do not use advanced arrest tactics as n Most Wanted.
