The Gran Turismo 2 (GT2) is a racing game. It was released in in 1999 for PlayStation. The game received overwhelming acceptance. It shipped 71 million copies in Japan, 3.96 million in North America, 3.68 million in Europe, and 20, 000 in Southeast Asia. The game is popular because of its long list of cars and their excellent performance. When it was released, the GT2 had one of the longest lists of cars available. The list consisted of both new and historic cars. It has almost 650 automobiles and 27 racing tracks. It featured vehicles from some of the top names including Ferrari, Porsche, Acura, BMW, and Peugeot. It has both single-player and multi-player modes.

The player competes against A.I drivers on a number of race tracks. You can play the game on Arcade or Simulation mode. If you choose to play the Arcade mode, you can choose your vehicles as you wish. You have the freedom to enable damage. When playing on the simulation mode, you need to have money to pay for your vehicles. You need a driver’s license and trophies to get new courses.

The gameplay of the GT2 is almost similar to that of the GT. The most distinct difference is with the brakes of the vehicles. The brakes of the GT2 have a low probability of locking up. The G2 has much more cars and tracks in simulation mode than its predecessor. If you do not want to get into the whole tournament, the GT2 allows you to race separate events.
